I'm Estell and I will always be in love with words and paragraphs. Currently, I am somewhere in between transitions.

Basically, this serves as a documentation of sorts of my life, just a fraction of it and not entirely--not that you should read it or something. But if you do, you should know though that this is my blog and I am not my blog and that you are mostly welcome.

Scones  (they’re not cookies!)

I don’t really know if anyone notices, but my blog has somewhat turned into a food blog.  I’ve been mastering recipes when I have time and when I feel like it.  It’s seriously making me fat but you know what they say about forbidden things.

Going places I’m not very familiar with are one of my highs in life.  And life has amazing ways to surprise you.  My first time to get to Orange Segment in Maginhawa, Quezon City was sort of a funny trip because I actually thought I don’t know the place but I ended up right in Tomato Kick—which I’ve been to way, way back.  Despite taking a longer way to get there, it was such a stress relieving trip, not knowing where I’m headed and just feeling the whole adventure.  I’ve always thought of myself as the kind of person who knows how to get lost.  I just love the feeling that I sort of don’t know where I am, no one knows me and no one knows where I am.  I miss that kind of trips.

These pictures were taken on my second trip to the store, but this time with Tatie and my trusty dslr.  I really liked their cool interiors.  But I’d have to say I loved their service more.  Walang ganito kabilis na paprintan sa Noval eh. Hahaha.

I haven’t gone online much lately because well, you know, I’m busy.  And this time when I say I’m busy I mean WE’RE-PAINTING-THE-HOUSE-BUSY.  Not just a room.  The house.  Obviously, we’re not the ones working on our roof but painting the inside of our house, with all the windows and mouldings isn’t any easier.  It’s tiring.  And it’s not like I haven’t had enough painting jobs in the past four years. The only thing that I actually don’t like about this whole house renovation is come nightfall, when all I want is a warm nice bed and some serenity, I am faced with the same disaster we woke up to everyday right now.

But it would definitely pay off.  The chocolate brown accents and mint green walls are just perfect.  The funny thing is, my sister and I didn’t immediately realized that it’s the same color combo of Lay Bare. I told you it’ll pay off.  I’ll be painting my room a different color too, so yey!   After all this chaos, the house will be like this huge spa. Kidding but God, I can’t wait.

For now, please bear with my queued posts. Edit: WHICH DIDN’T WORK. What is wrong in the world. I’ve been doing this since ever. Grr. This entry was supposed to go post about two days ago. On another note, does anyone know if you have to always empty your the tumblr messages to get notifications? Mine’s not lighting up.

I haven’t really given much thought to that question what food I can probably eat my whole life, but this is one on my top list.  I prefer it homemade than the microwaved ones.  I’d sprinkle a bit of sugar and salt to make it tastier.

Someday, I will go out and see more of this world.  That day, I will realize how big this world is, that I am but a grain of sand and my problems are much smaller.  Not that I do not know that any earlier.  But one day, someday, I will go and see this world and all its beauty will not compare to anything I’ve ever known.  That day will be the day I will know why it didn’t work out with anything else.

NOMNOM. I miss making these! They are very easy to make and all you need are potatoes and breading like the ones used in fried chicken and flour to make it less salty.  Fry them up until they’re golden, no need for deep drying, and spread them out on paper towel to get rid of excess oil. Easy, peasy, yes?
