I'm Estell and I will always be in love with words and paragraphs. Currently, I am somewhere in between transitions.

Basically, this serves as a documentation of sorts of my life, just a fraction of it and not entirely--not that you should read it or something. But if you do, you should know though that this is my blog and I am not my blog and that you are mostly welcome.

I love TatieStel dates. They’re empowering; always feels like you’re close to home, always either delicious or fabulous or both. There’s also nothing like knowing you made your favorite milk tea kiosk so rich they were able to put up a cafe. From Dapitan to Taft, you loved me so much you followed me.

Taken last October 13, 2012.  You miss some things sometimes.

Night is young and so are we.  Dinner/Ronn’s birthday dinner at this Mini Shabu Shabu Japanese resto at Highstreet.  Last stop was Cupcakes by Sonja. I missed these guys. College seems so long ago.  Blistered feet, nearly sleepless week, all worth it.

nothing like high school

Nothing like a date with your high school friends.  Taken a week or two ago. :)

College came and college went.  The best part was knowing through it all, good and bad, we will always have each other like you know sisters from another mother.

Mia went to SPUQC and took up Comm Arts.

Mabelle also went very loyal and majored in Clinical Psych at SPUQC (we’re from St. Paul, College Pasig since kinder years).

Aila, the one in yellow, is only here for vacation.  She’s been in Japan ever since we graduated high school where she continued learning Japanese Language and now on her formal college course.  This also explains the Japanese guy with us. Yep, that’s Aila’s friend. Hihi.

Thea took up MMA at CSB.  We seldom have her during get-together but that just makes us miss her more, along with Dags, KM, Bea (who’s now in Canada) and Mia too.

Bel and I went both went to UST College of Fine Arts and Design and majored in Advertising. Yeah, represent! It’s funny how when her blockmates heard me call her “Bel” they started calling her that and not “Khrizia” as she usually introduces herself.

I just love the expressions on their faces. We have more bentang pictures but I like how these looked like they were stilts from an indie film that would have some voice over telling you about each of them.

I’d like to film my own indie movie.  For now, I think watching Ang Nawawala (What Isn’t There) would scratch the itch.

Taken yesterday.  Definitely one of the most gratifying days I had in a long while.  It’s always the afternoon dates that turn into instant slumber parties that make me miss high school so much too.
Catching up over milktea, coffee or some decent but cheap Italian resto or just sitting for hours at the pocket lounges around Eastwood Mall with the best people on a long weekend is just the ultimate treat.

summer

I know I’ve already posted an entry about this trip but I don’t think it was enough to say that I actually had so much fun and it was really amazing. It would be such a crime not to share how incredible this trip was in detail. It is after all, the first out of town trip me and my closest friend ever had since we became friends.

This year’s Batangas trip is one of the highlights of my summer.  It was with three of my kabarkadas since high school, with the younger sister of the other, two of them were my roommates and one of whom is the one we owe this trip to.  All expenses paid, except for our bus ride home.

*long and photo heavy post ahead

Another week that almost passed without an update.  Four-day stay at my roommates house in Batangas.  We actually stayed at their weekend house if that’s how they call it and eat our lunch and dinner at their family house.  It was real fun swimming with them not because we’re doing lapses because it was swimming class but just chilling with them doing nothing much.  I don’t think I’ve had a proper vacation since the Batangas trip last 2011 and I do think I need one.  I just think I’m sort of strange these days.  Or months or year.  Anyway, that’s due to another post.  This one’s for the happy vibes and the soon to be employed.  Well, just thinking and saying positive things, not that I mean to say I’ve already applied.
This trip just proves that positive thinking and dreaming goes a long way.  My friends and I have been wanting to have an out of town trip since our first summer together but it kind of took about 5 years in the making.  And that’s when you know it’s worth it, when it happens and it feels right.
I’ve also had a few realizations while on this trip, not exactly nice ones but there was that hope in the end and that hope, how little it may be, will be the sparkplug for me to go places.
